The Proteus DX Wi-Fi door sensor with text and audible alerts keeps doors, windows and even cabinets in your home or business secure. The door sensor detects when entry points are opened or closed and alerts you immediately or remotely of changes. The sensor will alert you any time the door is opened (or closed). You can also add custom delays to ignore shorter events.

Compact Design.
Proteus comes in a surprisingly compact feature rich package. Plug it right into a wall outlet (100-240V AC). No batteries to replace.
It connects directly to your wifi, with no additional hubs or gateways required. Oh, and it wont block your second wall outlet.
Customizable Alarm Trip Delays
You can configure your DX door sensor to trip immediately when the door is opened. You can also set it to trip only if the door is kept open for a set period of time. Meaning if the door is opened and closed within that time period (Say 30 seconds - customizable), no alarms will be sent under this configuration.
Easy to Setup.
You can use your smart phone, tablet or a laptop to setup the sensor.
- Power up your sensor.
- Connect your phone/ laptop to ProteusSetup-xxxxx network.
- Wait for setup screen to popup.
- Select your wifi, enter wifi password.
- Select timezone.
- Enter primary email.
- Save Settings.
Built-in Buzzer
Proteus comes with a smart built-in buzzer. This loud audible alert will notify you locally when the alarm trips.
You can program the buzzer to snooze automatically after few minutes, or you can also disable the buzzer completely and still get the alert notifications.

Easy Reset.
Got a new router? Changed your wifi password? Simply reset the sensor by pressing the reset button for 5 seconds leading to a long beep. Continue to setup the sensor with your new wifi network.
Notify on Power Outage.
With smart monitoring from our cloud, you will be notified as quick as 10 minutes after power or wifi goes down. You will be notified if the sensor stops working even when power and wifi are good. When the sensor comes back online after power, wifi is restored or sensor issues resolved, you will be notified as well.

Requirements
All Proteus WiFi Sensors require a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network for operation.
When connecting more than one sensors
While it is intended to support just one sensor, Proteus DX can be wired to support multiple sensors.
NOTE 1: When adding more than one switch sensors to the base unit, the base unit will not be able to distinguish which of the switches tripped the alarm. If you need to identify specifically which sensor triggered, then you will need individual base units which can be named to match your installed locations. The alerts will include this sensor name so you can identify each sensor.
NOTE:2 Connecting multiple sensors to the same base unit comes with some limitations. Parallel connection is useful in monitoring multiple switches which are normally open. This means if any one of the switches closes, alarm is tripped. Similarly, Series connection is useful in monitoring multiple switches which are normally closed. This means that if any one of the switches opens, alarm gets tripped and messages will be sent.
Voice Call Alerts
Voice call alerts are part of the advanced options package and is a paid option.
Power supply
All proteus sensors, unless specified otherwise, are powered directly from a 120-240V AC wall outlet. Simply plugin the sensor to a standard wall outlet and you are good to go.

- Had to get a replacement. That worked.Ordered it for my workshop. The first one did not work. It wont connect to WiFi. I could see the setup network, can connect to it, but wont go further. Keeps asking to check my password. Called support, they sent a replacement and a return shipping label for the first one. Happy with my overall experience.

- A bit of patience, but it works.I bought this system about a month ago. It came with both a short written instruction set. It may take a couple of tries for the sensor to be programed because if you are using iphone and if you take too long, the setup window may disappear. but this is not a problem. Making sure the detectors are properly set up is a must otherwise it won't arm properly. Make sure the door/window sensor is no more than 1/4 inch apart. I have the door/window sensor located in my outdoor shop about 25 feet away past three walls from the main control and it works fine. I've used motion detectors before and they can be a problem since they will detect pets or even rodents. It's best to locate them in narrow areas (such as a narrow hallway) to minimize the risk of a non human triggering it. The audible alarm is very not very loud . My only complaint concerns the instructions. During my initial set up I had problems arming the system and had to call customer support. I decided it still earned 5 stars based on the great support they provided. I researched a number of alarm systems and found this unit to truly be an excellent buy based on it's quality and features and I'm very satisfied with it.
